Trailer Review of Gold
Once again Akshay is back with the biography.‘Gold’ is about India’s first Olympic medal win as a free nation in 1948 at the 14th London Olympiad. This film is basically said to be based on the life of hockey player Balbir Singh, Who was in the team that won the first Olympic medal fir India as a free nation in 1948 at the 14th London Olympiad.Even after having some unbeaten records written in his name, he did not get the recognition that he deserved. Later he remained with the game as a coach and a manager of the Indian Hockey Team. Now the 92 years pld player lives in Canada with his family.After watching the trailer I think this was needed in Bollywood. It’s good to see a sport based movie especially about hockey after Chak de India. One of the plus point is Akshay Kumar. He Potrays the character so perfectly that he has already left his charm in the trailer itself. Trailer is impressive. Let’s wait for the release.
Filming
The Arjuna Award winner and former Indian national hockey team captain, Sandeep Singh, was signed to train the actors to improve their hockey skills. Major shooting was done in Yorkshire and The Midlands, England.
Music
Sachin-Jigar will compose songs and background music for the film. Additional songs will be composed by Arko Pravo Mukherjee and Tanishk Bagchi. Lyrics will be written by Javed Akhtar.
