Page-level ads are a family of ad formats that offer a new and innovative way for you to monetize your content. With Page-level ads, you place the same piece of ad code once on each page that you want to show the ads. Once you’ve added the code, AdSense will automatically show Page-level ads at optimal times when they’re likely to perform well for you and provide a good experience for your users.

Key features

The key features of Page-level ads include:

  • They’re simple to set up. With Page-level ads you only need to place the ad code on your pages once, and you put the same ad code on each page.
  • They’re optimized. To ensure that you and your users get the most from this ad format, AdSense will only show Page-level ads when they’re likely to perform well and provide a good user experience.
  • It’s easy to change Page-level ad settings. Once you’ve added the ad code to your pages, you can turn individual Page-level ad formats on or off from the My ads tab in your AdSense account. The ad code remains the same, even when you change your Page-level ad settings.
  • We don’t count them as “advertisements” when evaluating your site for compliance with our valuable inventory policy.

Ad formats

Currently, the Page-level ads family includes the following ad formats:

  • Anchor/overlay ads
  • Vignette ads

How to set up Page-level ads?

To set up Page-level ads to appear on the pages of your site, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your AdSense account.
  2. In the left navigation panel, click My ads.
  3. Click Content, then click Page-level ads.
  4. On the “Page-level ads” page, use the controls to select which ad formats you’d like to show on your site.
  5. Click Get code.
  6. Copy the ad code and paste it in the <head> tag (or at the top of the body) of each page that you want to show Page-level ads.

How to Setup QuickStart Ads?

QuickStart uses the same code that you put on your site when you connected your site to AdSense to show ads. We call this type of code “page-level ad code”. One big advantage of page-level ad code is that once you put it on your page, you only need to flick a switch in AdSense and ads will start to appear automatically.

After you’ve placed the code in the <head> tag on every page you want to show ads, follow these steps to switch on QuickStart:

  1. Sign in to your AdSense account.
  2. Click Get started on your AdSense homepage. The “Page-level ads” page opens.
  3. In the “Page-level ads” section, either switch on:
    • Turn on all formats (recommended)or switch on:
    • QuickStart ads and optionally Anchor/overlay ads and/or Vignette ads
    • If you haven’t already, make sure you place the page-level ad code on the pages where you want to show ads.

  4. AdSense will automatically start showing ads on your page within about an hour.

  1. First of all I would like to say superb blog!
I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.
I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear
your head prior to writing. I’ve had a hard time clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there.
I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally wasted just trying to figure out
how to begin. Any recommendations or tips?

    Thank you!
